West Texas Charity Review (WTCR) service is a combined effort of Better Business Bureau offices in West Texas to evaluate charitable organizations that solicit "locally".
This charity review program does not comment on the "worthiness" of any particular organization or cause. Charity reports are an easy way for donors to acquire the necessary information about a charity before donating. BBB information reports also lend credibility to the non-profit community as well as help the community support worthwhile causes as opposed to losing their money to scams.
WTCR's intentions are not to "approve", "register", "certify", or "recommend" one charity over another but to serve as a source of helpful information to assist donors in making wise giving decisions.
Organizations included here are among those that have generated the greatest number of inquiries to the BBB office in whose area they reside; however, inclusion on or omission from this listing should not be interpreted as either approval or disapproval.
Some national organizations may be soliciting locally but may not have a local chapter, therefore, a list of national charities can be found at www.give.org.
